About Long Island Wellness Collective

Long Island Wellness Collective is a community-driven platform connecting people, experiences, businesses and brands shaping the future of wellness across Long Island.

We believe wellness is more than a workout or a destination. It's the people you meet, the places you discover, the experiences you share and the way it all makes you feel.

LIWC exists to bring those pieces together.

WE'RE BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER.

Long Island has no shortage of incredible studios, trainers, wellness businesses, restaurants, recovery spaces, brands and people doing exciting things.

What was missing was a place that connects it all.

So we built one.

LIWC brings the Long Island wellness community together through fitness, experiences, events, partnerships, content and community.

From a Saturday morning workout to a new recovery spot, a brand collaboration to a sunset run, we're creating more ways to move, connect and experience wellness together.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Founded by Cameron Ellis and Alexa DeVirgilio, LIWC is a modern wellness platform bringing together movement, recovery, longevity, lifestyle, and community through thoughtfully curated experiences and meaningful collaborations across Long Island, New York City, and the Hamptons.

The vision began with Cameron’s personal understanding of what true community can look like. Growing up inside a women’s gym where her mother taught cycling classes, Cameron experienced firsthand how a fitness space could become something far greater than a place to work out. It was where friendships formed, conversations continued beyond class, and people showed up for one another. That experience shaped her belief that wellness is not transactional or one-dimensional, but personal, collaborative, and deeply connected to the environments we create.

Alexa brought a complementary perspective rooted in brand building, partnerships, marketing, and creating experiences that connect people with brands and with one another. With a background in experiential marketing and community-focused brand partnerships, she saw an opportunity to build something that extended beyond traditional fitness—a platform where wellness could become a cultural experience, while creating meaningful opportunities for businesses, brands, creators, and the community to connect.

Together, Cameron and Alexa built Long Island Wellness Collective around the idea that wellness should be something people experience together.
